Crashed car accident

What to Do — Step by Step

Stay calm, stay safe, and work through this quick checklist.

1
Move to safety. If you can, get vehicles out of traffic. Turn on hazards and set out triangles/flares if available.
2
Check for injuries & call 911. Get medical help for anyone who needs it.
3
Call police / request report. Ask for the officer’s name & badge number and how to obtain the report number.
4
Document the scene. Take photos or a quick sketch (vehicles, plates, damage, location, road conditions).
5
Exchange information. Drivers, passengers, and witnesses — names, phones, addresses, license/plate, insurance company & policy.
6
Request Arrow Wrecker for the tow. Tell the officer to dispatch Arrow Wrecker (405) 943-1800. We can deliver to our secure facility or the repair shop of your choice.
7
Remove valuables before tow. Take personal items you’ll need:
  • Glasses, medications, phone & charger
  • Registration, insurance card, keys, garage clicker
  • Anything with your address/personal info
How to get your collision report
Reports often take several days to become available (sometimes up to 30 days). In Oklahoma, request your report through Service Oklahoma’s Collision Report request . Keep your report number, date, and location handy.
